CROSS COUNTRY TEAM GETS A RUNNING START TO THE SEASON

Spirit was high this week as Laguna kicked off its season opener by hosting the first home meet in many years.

A big congrats to Isabelle Davenport for her 2nd place finish (out of 32) for the girls and to Mikey Hawker for leading the boys in his 6th place finish out of 53 runners.

The team will race at Dunn next week.

GO OWLS! "May the course be with you."

FOOTBALL WINNING STREAK CONTINUES

The boys football team made the evening news last weekend after their big win against Crystal Springs.

Then on Monday, Laguna's 8-man football standout Wakelin McNeel (right) was named Athlete of the Week at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon.

Presidiosports.com reports, McNeel has been tearing it up for the Laguna football team. In last week's 47-12 win over Crystal Springs of Hillsborough, the powerful running back rushed for 152 yards on 12 carries and scored four touchdowns. He also made an impact on defense, recording six tackles, one sack and intercepting a pass.

The undefeated football team won 44-13 in their Condor League opener @ Villanova Prep in Ojai yesterday, bringing the Owls to 5-0!!!

LAGUNABLANCA.ORG features a fresh new look that has been updated with responsive design, adapting its layout and functions to any device--from a handheld to a desktop--for ease of use and readability.

While it may take you a few minutes to adjust to the new look, we think you'll agree that the new format makes information easier to find.

Our site is very much a work in progress and we ask for your patience as we continue to refine and update our content. We are also, as always, open to your feedback. If you have suggestions for content or further improvements, please contact Tara Broucqsault in the Communications Office.

THE SCARLET LETTER ON STAGE AT LAGUNA THIS TUESDAY, 10/6

Please join the students of AP English Language and Global Literature for Library Dances in Spaulding Auditorium this Tuesday, October 6 at 7pm.

Library Dances is a collaboration between LBS and the State Street Ballet, a professional touring company based in Santa Barbara. Through a combination of movement, theater, and scholarship, Library Dances embeds the characters, stories, themes, and conflicts of canonical works of literature deep in the bodies and minds of high school students. For 2015, the program focuses on Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter. You will see students and professional dancers together on our stage performing an original ballet choreographed by Cecily Stewart and five dramatic scenes adapted from the novel by Charles Donelan.
