PADDLE RAISE
The energy on Laguna’s campus is unlike any other. Classrooms buzz
with intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurialism, and creativity. At any given
moment you can hear the whir of a potter’s wheel, the roar of the crowd
at a championship game, or our youngest scholars leading the Tecolote
Tuesday cheer.
Laguna’s vibrant community is constructed on a foundation of personal
relationships and individual attention. This supportive environment allows
faculty to inspire their students to stretch beyond their comfort zones
and to learn from every experience.
Generosity is also a longstanding hallmark of the Laguna community.
Last year, our community’s commitment and record-breaking paddle
raise contributions allowed us to transform the interior space of three
classrooms in Hope Ranch into state-of-the art learning spaces. We
were able to revitalize Lower School classrooms with bright colors, and
install 100 new cubbies perfectly suited for our youngest learners. The
paddle raise also afforded us the opportunity to launch a collaborative
summer grants program for our esteemed faculty. Twenty-one teachers
poured their creative talents and research into new curriculum, resulting
in innovative classroom programs and activities such as Mission to Mars,
Swooper Citizens, Robotics, and Entrepreneurial Studies.
Our goal for this year’s paddle raise is to continue this momentum.
Classroom improvements, professional development, and enriched
programming are just some of the many ways we can provide the best
educational experience for our students.
With your continued support, we can ensure that our students aren’t just
given the chance to succeed, but are provided a roadmap to the best
version of themselves.
