LAGUNA BLANCA SCHOOL

Congratulations to our fourth grade students, who were honored
in a special graduation ceremony in June. Their colorful spirit and
creativity has made an indelible mark on the Montecito campus.
They will head to our Hope Ranch campus this fall.
As part of the ceremony, each fourth grader received a
keepsake owl necklace handmade by Technology Instructor
Barbara Remick. They also performed the school’s parachute
routine to the song, “You Raise Me Up.”
“I am so proud of this fourth grade class,” Head of the Lower
School Andy Surber shared. “They are a class made up of tight
friendships and they have grown so much during their Lower School
experience.”
This graduation was bittersweet for fourth grade teacher Ms.
Gilmore, as she is relocating back to Texas. In her honor, the entire
student body sang, “Count On Me” by Bruno Mars and presented
her with a trophy, a larger-than-life card, and flowers to honor her
time at the school.
“It’s been an honor and joy to work with such amazing young
people!” she said. “They are beautifully courageous, curious, and
delightful. I will miss them dearly!”
