STEPHEN MCCAFFERY earned Phi Eta Sigma academic 
distinction for freshmen at Washington and Lee University 
and had the highest GPA of the freshman squad on the 
football team. His football career started off well with his 
team being undefeated and winning the ODAC conference. 
He also pledged Phi Delta Theta fraternity this past winter. 
Stephen worked over the summer as an intern doing financial 
analyst work for a commercial real estate group in San 
Francisco. Though undecided, he will most likely pursue 
physics and engineering at Washington and Lee. In his spare 
time he tutors high school students in Lexington, VA in math.

LAUREN ALEF graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Duke 
University this past spring. 

ANDREW MCCAFFERY is working with Wells Fargo as 
an analyst in New York City. He is involved in investment 
banking in the industrials division, focusing on mineral mining 
and gas. He chaired the Mock Convention at Washington and 
Lee and carried on the tradition of correctly predicting the 
outcome of party nominee Donald Trump. He graduated in 
May with a degree in chemical engineering.  

KAI GAMBLE graduated from the Naval Academy in May 
and has been commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the 
Marine Corps. He was selected to be a marine pilot and will 
begin flight school after his six-month enrollment in The Basic 
School, a program designed to train newly commissioned 
officers.  

TROY RITTER graduated from Williams College in June 
with a dual degree in Economics and French. He has accepted 
an offer to join Raymond James Financial in St. Petersburg, 
Florida where he will take part in a one-year management 
rotational training program.
