Each year, the Laguna community gathers to celebrate its most

stalwart supporters—the Laguna Blanca Emeritus Society. Established
in 2008, the Emeritus Society is a group of more than 300 members and
includes former Trustees, Board Chairs, and Heads of School. These
visionaries and leaders from the Laguna community have remained
steadfast in their commitment to Laguna, in many cases for decades.
Our oldest member, Tony Guntermann ’37, continues to guide and
nurture Laguna nearly 80 years since his graduation!

Though the Emeritus Society dinner is held once a year, it represents

the hard work that our society members have done—and continue to
do—for our school community. This year’s event was the biggest yet as
the group celebrated its two newest inductees Brett Hodges and Alison
Wrigley Rusack. Special thank you to Jim Jackson ’78, who served as
Master of Ceremonies and student Pierce O’Donnell ’16 who shared
highlights from his 13 years at Laguna.

We wish to recognize this distinguished group—our most loyal

champions—who have made such a positive difference in the lives of our
young scholars over the course of the school’s history.
