PREHISTORIC CAVE ART PAINTINGS WITH SIXTH GRADE
|
The MS Office was transformed into a dark, candlelit
Lascaux!
|
Laguna Sixth Graders are wrapping up their immersive
unit on prehistoric humans. Following class discussions on the birth
of arts and culture in prehistory, students tried their own hand
at "cave painting." In the week leading up to the cave,
they each created their own handmade brush solely from natural
materials. In teams of two and three, each "cadre" used
their brushes (or hands) to depict fairly complex prompts about
everyday life in the stone ages.

A TALL SHIP ADVENTURE FOR 4TH GRADE
By Mrs. Brown,
Fourth Grade Blog MORE
PICTURES
We arrived on the docks in Boston, hoping to be hired aboard the
Spirit of Dana Point. We were lucky for a group of greenhands--we all
made the cut! We learned so much about sailing, the California hide
trade, and hard work. Though we faced many dangers at sea, we made it
back to Boston safely. We were ecstatic to see our families and put
our feet on land again.
